Terms of use

Last updated 17 October 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and us when you use Lissom. They're short and in plain English. The most important part is the first section: Lissom shows you stretches, but it can't see you, so please listen to your body.

Stretch safely

Lissom is for general fitness and flexibility. It isn't medical advice, physiotherapy or treatment, and it can't diagnose or treat any condition, including back, neck or joint pain.

  • Check first

If you have an injury, pain, a medical condition, have had recent surgery, or are pregnant, ask a doctor or physiotherapist before you start, and follow their advice over anything in the app.

  • Never force it

A stretch should feel like a gentle pull, never pain. Ease off or stop straight away if anything hurts, tingles, goes numb, or you feel dizzy or short of breath.

  • Your space

Stretch on a stable, non-slip surface with room around you. Some stretches use a wall, step or chair: make sure it's steady before you lean on it.

  • Your pace

The timer and the 3D figure are a guide, not a target. Skip any stretch that doesn't suit you, or hold it for less time.

Lissom is for adults aged 18 and over.

Using Lissom

You can use Lissom without an account. When you install it, we give you a personal, non-transferable right to use it on your own devices for your own stretching, under these terms and Google Play's terms.

Please don't copy, resell or redistribute the app or its content (the routines, instructions, illustrations and 3D figure), try to get at its source code, or use it to build a competing product.

We keep improving Lissom, so routines, stretches and features may change over time. We'll try to keep it working well, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of bugs. If something isn't working, please tell us.

Your account

Signing in is optional, and only backs up your progress and routines so you can get them back on another phone. If you sign in, keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account.

You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Account → Delete account, or by asking us (see Delete your Lissom account). We may close an account that's used to attack or abuse the service, and we'll tell you if we do. How we handle your data is in our privacy policy.

Lissom Premium

Much of Lissom is free for good: three routines and the 14 stretches in them, one custom routine, streaks, reminders and backup. A different Premium routine is also free to try each week.

Lissom Premium is a one-time purchase made through Google Play. There's no subscription and nothing renews. It unlocks:

  • the full library of stretches
  • every routine, including new ones as we add them, at no extra cost
  • as many custom routines as you like

The price is shown in the app before you buy. It may go up as we add routines; that never affects what you've already bought. Google Play takes the payment, and your purchase is linked to your Google Play account, so you can restore it on a new phone with Restore purchases. Deleting your Lissom account doesn't cancel or refund Premium.

Your consumer rights

Premium is digital content that unlocks as soon as you buy it. Under UK law, once you've agreed to it starting straight away and it has unlocked, the usual 14-day right to cancel an online purchase no longer applies.

Your legal rights still apply. Under UK law, Premium must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose. If it isn't, tell us and we'll fix it, or if we can't, give you a refund. You can also ask Google Play for a refund under Google Play's refund policy. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights.

What belongs to whom

Lissom, its name, routines, instructions, illustrations and 3D figure belong to us. The names you give your custom routines are yours; we only use them to show them back to you and, if you sign in, to back them up.

Our responsibility to you

We're responsible for losses you suffer that are a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to take reasonable care. We're not responsible for losses that weren't foreseeable, or for injury that comes from not following the safety advice above, such as stretching through pain or ignoring a doctor's advice.

Lissom is for personal use, so we're not responsible for any business losses.

Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't let us limit.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If a change matters, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect. If you don't agree, you can stop using Lissom and delete your account; you keep Premium on your Google Play account.

Law and disputes

If you have a problem, please email us first and we'll try to sort it out. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales, or in Scotland or Northern Ireland if you live there.
