Lissom · stretching for Android

Privacy policy

Last updated 11 October 2026

Lissom is a stretching app. You can use all of it without an account, and then nothing you do leaves your phone. If you choose to sign in, we back up your stretching history and custom routines so you can get them back on another phone. This page explains exactly what that means.

Who we are

Lissom is made by Vireo Health Apps, the trading name of [LEGAL NAME], a sole trader based in the UK. We decide how your data is used, which makes us its "controller" under UK data protection law.

What we keep

If you don't sign in

Your sessions, streaks, custom routines, reminder times and settings are stored only on your phone. We never see them. Uninstalling Lissom removes them.

If you sign in

Signing in is optional and is only for backup and syncing between phones. We then keep:

  • Account

Your email address, or your Google account's email and name if you sign in with Google, and an account ID. If you use a password, Google's sign-in service stores it in a scrambled form; we can't see it.

  • Stretching history

For each session you finish: which routine, when, how long it took and how many stretches it had. Also your streak and totals, worked out from those sessions.

  • Custom routines

The name, description and stretches of any routine you build, and routines you've deleted (marked as deleted, so they don't come back on another phone).

Reminder times, display settings and timer choices always stay on your phone, even when you're signed in.

Lissom Premium

Premium is a one-time purchase made through Google Play. Google handles the payment; we never see your card details. The app only learns from Google Play whether you've bought Premium.

What we don't collect

We don't ask about your health, injuries or body. Lissom has no ads, no advertising ID, no analytics or tracking tools, and doesn't use your location, contacts, camera, microphone or photos.

Why we use it

We use your data only to back up your progress and routines and sync them to your other phones, which is the service you asked for when you signed in. Under UK GDPR our lawful basis is that this is necessary to provide the service (contract).

We may also look at it to fix a problem with your account or keep the service secure, on the basis of our legitimate interests, and only as far as that needs.

We don't sell your data, use it for advertising, build profiles from it, or use it to train AI. We'll only email you about your account. If we ever want to send you anything else, we'll ask first.

Who else handles it

  • Google Firebase

Firebase Authentication runs sign-in and Cloud Firestore stores your backed-up data. Google does this on our behalf as our processor, under Google's data processing terms, and may not use your Lissom data for its own purposes.

  • Google Sign-In

If you sign in with Google, Google tells Lissom your email address and name.

  • Google Play

Handles downloads and the Premium purchase. Google is responsible for that data itself; see Google's privacy policy.

Where it's stored and how it's protected

Your backed-up data is stored by Google Cloud Firestore in the European Union (Google's eur3 multi-region: Belgium and the Netherlands). Google may process some data outside the UK. Where it does, it's protected by safeguards recognised under UK law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the standard contractual clauses in Google's data processing terms.

Data is encrypted while it travels between your phone and Google, and while it's stored.

How long we keep it

We keep your backed-up data while you have an account. When you delete your account, it's deleted straight away. Data on your phone stays until you delete your account or uninstall Lissom.

Deleting your account

In the app, go to Settings → Account → Delete account. After you confirm it's you, Lissom deletes your account and everything backed up to it straight away, along with the synced data on that phone.

If you no longer have the app, see Delete your Lissom account to ask us by email. We'll do it within one month.

Deleting your account doesn't cancel or refund Premium. Your purchase stays with your Google Play account, and you can restore it in the app.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:

  • give you a copy of your data
  • correct data that's wrong
  • delete your data
  • limit how we use it, or object to how we use it
  • give you your data in a format you can take to another service

Email us and we'll reply within one month. It's free.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.

Children

Lissom is for adults aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from children. If you think a child has created an account, email us and we'll delete it.

If Lissom changes hands

If Lissom or our business is sold or transferred, your data would move to the new owner so the app can keep working. The new owner would have to protect it in the same way and use it only for the same purposes. We'll tell you before it happens, so you can delete your account first if you'd rather not move with it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how Lissom uses your data, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If the change matters, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect.
